"What is good art?" is a galaxy
to be explored, not a question
to be answered."
Minsuh Chung's artistic practice revolves around the intersections and transcendent exchanges between the spiritual and physical worlds. She investigates her unique philosophical idea through conceptual installations and organismal pattern paintings. Frequently mobile throughout her childhood, she lived in multiple countries such as UAE, Lebanon, India, and her hometown South Korea, which required her to create her own definition of space and time. Minsuh Chung’s artworks redefine man-made concepts such as gravity, ground, surface..etc.
She is an interdisciplinary artist and currently a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
